Uganda Tours and Safaris: Wildlife, Culture & Adventure
Uganda tours and safaris for every interest — wildlife and primates, day tours, birding, culture, adventure and special occasions.
Uganda rewards curiosity. The same country that holds half of the world's mountain gorillas also has the source of the Nile, snow-capped mountains on the equator, a long cultural heritage and some of Africa's best birdwatching. Choosing between Uganda tours and safaris is therefore less about what is available and more about what you want to do with your time.
This page groups our offering by interest so you can go straight to the right place. For a catalogue of itineraries see Uganda safari packages; to plan by duration or park, use our Uganda safaris and tours hub.

Tours vs Safaris: What Is the Difference?
The words overlap, and we use them together because travellers do. In general, a safari is a wildlife-focused journey, often through national parks, with game drives, boat cruises and treks. A tour is broader: it can be a city tour, a cultural visit, a day trip or an adventure activity. Our Uganda tours and safaris combine both, so you might trek gorillas in the morning of one day and spend another day in Jinja or Kampala.
Wildlife and Primate Safaris
The core of Uganda tourism. Choose gorilla trekking in Bwindi, chimpanzee trekking in Kibale, game drives in Queen Elizabeth, Murchison Falls and Kidepo, and boat cruises on the Nile and the Kazinga Channel. Day Tours and Short Tours
If you have a stopover or a few spare days, short tours give you a taste of Uganda. Options include Kampala city, the source of the Nile at Jinja and Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. See Uganda day tours and short tours and the Kampala city tour.
Birding Tours
Uganda's birdlife is a major draw in its own right, from forest specialists to the shoebill. See Uganda birding tours and our Mgahinga birding guide.
Adventure Tours
White-water rafting, hiking in the mountains, abseiling and more. See Uganda adventure tours, adrenaline and extreme adventure and mountain hiking.
