A day's entrance ticket is valid for 24 hours from entry, and extra time is charged as an extra day.

Children are persons aged 5 to 15 years, and children under 5 are exempt. Foreign visitors may be asked for valid identification to confirm resident status.

What the Permits Include

A gorilla permit includes that day's park entrance, a guide and a community contribution. Each gorilla permit holder is also entitled to one day's free entrance into Mount Elgon National Park and Toro-Semliki Wildlife Reserve, to be used within one month before or after tracking; this does not cover activity fees there. Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale includes entrance, but Kyambura tracking and golden monkey tracking do not. See the tariff guide.

Tips

Planning Tips

Multiply daily entrance by the number of days inside the park, and remember a game drive or boat trip is an additional charge. To keep costs predictable, ask us for a written list of what your package covers. See Uganda's national parks and safari cost factors.
