The road leads over rugged ridges hidden behind Rift Valley escarpments in the shadow of the Rwenzori Mountain range. Uganda is located about 86 miles north of the Equator and thus enjoys incredible weather throughout the year. Our guide will show you some water tests that are conducted to prove that indeed the Equator does cross through Uganda at this point.
After visiting the local craft shops at the Equator crossing, you will continue with your road trip, then enjoy some lunch en-route and finally arrive at your lodge in Bwindi and settle in for the next day’s Bwindi Gorilla trekking safari.
This second day is the major part of your 3 days Bwindi Gorilla trekking safari Uganda as you get to meet the gentle giants of East Africa. Our guide will pick you up from your lodge by day break and lead you to the park headquarters. While here, you shall receive a 30 minutes’ briefing about what to expect and the do’s and don’ts of the whole experience.
You will then head out as early as possible into Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for a chance to see the Mountain Gorillas. Expect to experience some mild level of hiking difficulty since these apes tend to live at high altitudes. Once you have found the Gorillas, you will be able to come within 8 – 10 meters of them and observe how they live for about 1 hour.
The guide will notify you when it is time to leave and you will start heading down the forest back to the headquarters. After the Gorilla adventure, you get to meet the Batwa of Bwindi forest then eventually head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

By this time, you will have already had your breakfast and your bags already packed and you will join our guide on the road trip back to Kampala or Entebbe International Airport.
