White Water Rafting Below Murchison Falls

A river adventure within the national park, run by operators.

Besides Jinja, the Victoria Nile can be rafted below Murchison Falls. The tariff lists a UWA fee for river activities. Operator fees for equipment, guides and safety are separate. See rafting in Jinja for comparison and Murchison Falls.

See the wider Uganda wildlife authority tariff guide for every fee, and the permit price notice for 2027 changes.

Itinerary

Where This Fits in a Uganda Itinerary

Murchison Falls National Park in north-western Uganda is where the Nile squeezes through a narrow gorge. Game drives, launch cruises and Nile activities make it a full wildlife destination.

It is best planned as a separate adventure day rather than squeezed between a launch cruise and a game drive. Whatever you choose, build days around travel time: driving distances between the parks are long, and early starts are normal on a Uganda safari. If you are comparing destinations, start with Uganda's national parks and our Uganda safaris and tours.
