Where Is Uganda? Location, Borders and Map of Uganda in Africa

Uganda sits in East Africa, straddling the equator, bordered by Kenya, South Sudan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rwanda and Tanzania.

Uganda is a landlocked country in East Africa. It lies across the equator, between roughly 1 degree south and 4 degrees north of it. Its neighbours are Kenya to the east, South Sudan to the north, the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the west, and Rwanda and Tanzania to the south.

Uganda is not in West Africa. It is part of the East African Community together with Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi and others. The capital is Kampala, and most international visitors arrive at Entebbe; see Uganda airports.
