Your classical primate safari tour in Uganda will begin with our tour guide picking you from your hotel/convenient location in Kampala – Uganda’s capital. After a briefing on how your primate safari excursion will go, you will set off for Uganda's prized Kibale Forest National Park – a habitat to 13 primate species Including the endangered chimpanzees.

After having your breakfast in the early morning, you set out track the habituated chimpanzee families in the company of an experienced guide. Chimpanzee trekking normally takes 3 hours or more and a final encounter with the sought-after creatures is gratifying.

You will depart from Kibale National Park after having breakfast and travel to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, harboring close to half of the world's population of the endangered mountain gorillas. On your way to Bwindi Forest, you will pass through Queen Elizabeth National Park's Ishasha region which is famous for being a habitat for the tree-climbing lions.

You will wake up very early in the morning, have your breakfast and go to the headquarters of Uganda’s formidable Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park where you will have a briefing before embarking on one of the gorilla trails in pursuit of the endangered primate species. Tracking the habituated gorilla families may take between 3-8 hours, the trekking maybe exerting but so rewarding.

You will have breakfast at 8:00am and then set out on a drive back to Kampala. This will mark the end of your 5 day gorilla and primate safari tour in Uganda.
