Uganda Safari Itinerary Ideas: 3 to 21 Days

Sample routes and outlines you can use as a starting point for your own Uganda safari.

Seeing a sample route on a map is often the quickest way to decide what you want. The outlines below show how common itineraries flow: where you start, how long you spend in each place and how the driving is distributed. Each has a link to a full itinerary page with the day-by-day detail and includes and excludes.

These ideas support our Uganda safari packages and the broader Uganda safaris and tours hub.

14 days or more

Add Kidepo, Sipi and Jinja or extensions to Rwanda or Kenya. See Uganda and Rwanda.

Advice

Pacing Tips

Plan rest days, avoid more than one long drive in a row and keep gorilla trekking on a day when you are fresh. Check distances and seasons.
