This morning, after breakfast, we will immerse ourselves in the Rwandan culture with a visit to the Rocks Cultural Village. Here, we will be able to explore local factories, taste local cuisine, learn traditional dance moves, and witness the expert weaving of the Intore.
The "Intore" are known for their incredible ability to jump over heights of 2m and the Warriors Dance is a must-see for those looking to explore the choreographic heritage of Rwanda. With colorful sisal fiber costumes and jingling bells on each step, the Warriors Dance is a thrilling rhythm, with physical confrontation turning into an artistic rivalry and ultimately ending in a vigorous hug of friendship, mutual aid, and protection. We will also be taken through a traditional Rwandan wedding and practices, giving us a glimpse into the long-standing lifestyle of the Rwandan people.
Additionally, for those interested, a Gorilla Trekking can be arranged in Volcanoes National Park, for an extra cost of US$1,500.00 per person (not included in the tour price). Please note that Gorilla Trekking is only available to those aged 15 and above.
