Tour Plan

Day Highlight 1: Sezibwa Falls

8:00 am to 10:00 pm

You will make your first stop at Sezibwa Falls located along the Kampala-Jinja highway, approximately 20 miles east of Kampala – Uganda’s capital. The falls are 7 meters (23 ft) high and are a great place for rock climbing, bird watching and nature walks.

The falls are a habitat to over 120 bird species including; weavers, red-chested cockoos, sunbirds, snake eagles, Kingfishers and Cormorants. The surrounding forest is a home to Bush monkeys and red-tailed monkeys and many other primates.

Day Highlight 2: Mabira Forest

10:00 am to 12:00 pm

Mabira forest is a massive rainforest covering approximately 300 square kilometres (74 acres), located in Buikwe district between Lugazi and Jinja. While walking through Mabira forest, you will be amazed at the sight of colourful birds, butterflies, orchids, and various kinds of flowers.

The forest is perfect for birding and nature walks. There are over 315 species of birds; Nahan’s francolin, black shouldered nightjar, Casin’s hawk, blue-throated roller, African dwarf kingfisher, white-spinetail, Afep pigeon and many more.

Day Highlight 3: Source of the Nile

12:00 pm to 5:00 pm

You will then proceed to the source of the Nile, an attraction that has drawn masses of curious tourists through out the ages. Lake Victoria and River Nile are a soothingly beautiful sight. You will be able to take a boat ride on River Nile and sail to the actual place where this massive river is said to begin and its three mouths journey to the Mediterranean sea.
